What should I bring to my appointment?
Please have the document you need notarized with you and complete it as instructed, but do not sign it beforehand if the signature needs to be witnessed by the notary. If your document requires witnesses, please let me know when scheduling so we can discuss the appointment details.

What forms of identification can I use?
Common forms of acceptable identification include a driver’s license or state-issued ID card from any U.S. state, a U.S. passport or passport card, and certain other qualifying government-issued identification. If you’re unsure whether your ID will be accepted, contact me before your appointment.

Can you come to a hospital or assisted living facility?
Yes. I provide mobile notary appointments at hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, and other care settings. Please let me know the facility and any access or visitor instructions when scheduling.

Do you provide notary services at jails or detention facilities?
Yes. Jail and detention facility appointments may require additional coordination and are subject to the facility's procedures and access requirements. Contact me with the facility name and details so I can determine what is needed for the appointment.
Can you provide witnesses if my document requires them?
Some documents require one or more witnesses in addition to notarization. Witness requirements are determined by the document and are separate from the notarial act. If your document requires a witness and you are unable to provide one, I may be able to arrange for a witness for an additional fee. Please let me know when scheduling so arrangements can be made in advance.
Can you tell me which notarial certificate I need?
I can explain the general purpose of common notarial acts, but as a California notary I cannot choose a notarial act for you or provide legal advice. If your document does not specify what is required, you may need to ask the document's issuing or receiving agency or a qualified legal professional.
Do you notarize documents written in another language?
Yes, in many cases. I can notarize a signature on a document written in a language I do not read, as long as I am able to communicate directly with the signer. California notaries should not use an interpreter for this communication. If I am unable to understand and communicate with the signer, I cannot perform the notarization, and the signer will need to work with a notary who speaks their language.
How do I get a quote or schedule an appointment?
Tell me the type of document, number of signers, your location, and preferred day and time. If you know how many notarizations are needed, please include that as well. I’ll provide an estimated quote based on the information provided and confirm the final amount once the notarization requirements are clear.
